Elena spent the afternoon making sure the video evidence was completely safe.
She backed up the files to a secure cloud drive online.
She wanted to ensure that Victoria could never erase the footage.
The grand foyer was quiet as afternoon sunlight streamed through windows.
A giant American flag hung proudly on the tall marble wall.
Arthur Sterling was scheduled to return home late that very afternoon.
Victoria spent three hours getting ready in her luxury dressing room.
She put on an expensive red satin gown and diamond earrings.
She wanted to look perfect for her wealthy husband's arrival home.
Victoria: Make sure the dinner tables are set with silver.
Elena: Everything is prepared in the dining hall, Mrs. Sterling.
Victoria walked past the white marble pillars with cold arrogance in every step.
She dragged little Lily by her wrist into the bright central foyer.
The toddler was weeping softly, exhausted from hours of cold neglect.
Victoria: Stop your whining right now, you annoying little brat!
Victoria pushed the child roughly onto the cold polished marble floor.
The loud impact of the child landing echoed across the tall room.
Lily let out a sharp cry of fear and deep distress.
Elena rushed out of the nearby kitchen when she heard the sound.
She saw the young girl sobbing helplessly on the cold floor.
Elena: What are you doing to this poor child?!
Elena dropped to her knees immediately to protect the weeping toddler.
She wrapped her arms around Lily and pulled her away safely.
Victoria: How dare a low servant put hands on me!
Elena: You are a monster for treating a child like this!
Elena stood up with the crying child held tightly in her arms.
Her body trembled with outrage, but her eyes remained steady and brave.
Victoria: You are fired as of this very second!
Elena: You do not have the power to hide your cruelty anymore.
Elena pulled her mobile phone out from her navy blue apron pocket.
She held the brightly lit screen right in front of Victoria's face.
The video played clearly, showing Victoria pushing and locking away Lily.
Victoria's face turned pale as the realization hit her suddenly.
Victoria: Where did you get that illegal video recording?!
Elena: The truth is right here for everyone to see clear as day.
Victoria raised her hand in wild panic to snatch the phone away.
Elena stepped back smartly, keeping the phone completely out of reach.
The sound of heavy tires crunching on gravel echoed from outside.
Arthur's luxury black sedan had just pulled up the grand driveway.
