Dominic ignored the frantic shouting of his personal doctor completely in that moment.
He pushed down hard against the wooden arms with all his remaining strength.
His knees straightened up slowly as the heavy metal braces slid down uselessly.
He took one full step forward onto the smooth marble floor without falling.
Then he took a second step forward with complete steady balance and power.
The doctor stumbled back in pure horror as his grand deceit collapsed instantly.
Dominic: I can walk, Evans, I can stand on my own feet!
Doctor Evans: This is a temporary spike of adrenaline, please sit down!
Dominic: You trapped me in this chair to steal my family business!
Dominic stepped directly in front of the shaking physician with an intense glare.
He was half a head taller than the doctor when standing at full height.
Dominic: Who hired you to put this locking device on my legs?
Doctor Evans: I was only following instructions from your primary legal team!
Dominic: My stepbrother, Richard, paid you to do this, didn't he?
The doctor swallowed hard and refused to look Dominic straight in the eyes.
Dominic remembered signing over his voting rights in the company two years ago.
Richard had claimed the business needed strong leadership while Dominic remained disabled.
Every month, millions of dollars were redirected into offshore bank accounts by Richard.
The fake paralysis was the key to keeping Dominic out of the boardroom.
Dominic turned his head toward the front door where two security guards stood.
Dominic: Guards, hold Doctor Evans in the office until the police arrive!
Doctor Evans: You cannot do this to me, I am a doctor!
Dominic: You are a criminal who took away three years of my life.
