Richard gasped in shock and ran in front of the hallway archway.
Richard: Do not walk into that room and talk to my board!
Victoria: You will ruin our entire social standing in this city forever!
Grandfather: You ruined your own standing the moment you harmed this child.
Grandfather pulled his cell phone out from his wool coat pocket.
He tapped the glass screen and held the phone to his ear.
Grandfather: Arthur, execute the emergency revocation clause on the corporate trust immediately.
Richard sprinted forward across the white marble floor with open hands.
Richard: Dad, stop! Do not call the family corporate estate attorney!
Grandfather: The attorney is already standing outside in the driveway, Richard.
The front double doors swung open wide once again from outside.
A tall man holding a leather briefcase walked into the foyer.
Two uniformed local sheriff deputies stepped inside right behind the lawyer.
Arthur: Good evening, Richard. We have court orders signed this morning.
Victoria: Police?! Why are police inside my private residential house?!
Arthur: The trust ownership of this home has been legally transferred today.
Arthur: You have exactly one hour to clear your personal belongings out.
Richard fell back against the wall with his hands over his face.
Richard: You are taking my house away from me over this child?
Grandfather: This house was built on my father's hard work and honesty.
Grandfather: You have shown neither honesty nor basic kindness in this place.
The corporate guests inside the dining room began peeking around doors.
They saw the police officers and the broken glass on the carpet.
They saw Victoria covered in torn wrapping paper near the tree.
Whispers spread quickly among the wealthy business leaders in the hall.
Richard knew his career in the energy company was officially over.
