A beautiful pink birthday cake sat proudly on the table while guests gathered to celebrate.
Standing beside Lily was her mother, Emma, a hardworking waitress who had spent weeks saving money to give her daughter a birthday she would never forget.
Lily smiled brightly as everyone began singing.
