Escalation At The Balcony

The Gold Gown Fiancee Who Tried To Ruin Everything

Maya picked up her small velvet keepsake box containing her late mother's golden locket.

She walked up the grand staircase to place the precious item inside her room.

Evelyn stepped directly into her path near the decorative upper balcony railing.

The upper floor overlooked the vast marble foyer nearly twenty feet below them.

Evelyn: What do you have in your hands, little girl?

Maya: It is my mommy's locket, and Daddy said I can hold it today.

Evelyn: Give that box to me right now, because you are far too careless.

Evelyn reached out and aggressively snatched the velvet box from Maya's small hands.

Maya gasped and tried to reach over the marble railing to retrieve her keepsake.

Maya: Please give it back, Evelyn, that belongs to my mother!

Evelyn: You do not deserve any piece of this family's grand fortune!

Evelyn intentionally leaned over the edge and dangling the precious locket over the open air.

Maya leaned forward in panic to grab her mother's memory from the edge.

Evelyn suddenly gave Maya a harsh pull toward the dangerous rail to startle her.

Maya lost her balance and screamed loudly as her feet slipped on the tile.

Her terrifying cry echoed through the tall ceilings of the immense mansion foyer.

Down below in his study, Richard heard his daughter's sharp cry of pure terror.

Richard: Maya!

Richard bolted out of his office with lightning speed into the main hallway.

He saw his small daughter teetering dangerously over the edge of the second-floor railing.

Evelyn held her hand out empty while watching the terrified child lose balance.

Richard: Maya! I have got you!

Richard sprinted across the vast marble floor with his red velvet jacket flying back.

His shoes slid against the smooth stone as he threw his body forward.

Maya slipped past the lower ledge, falling into the open air of the foyer.

Richard leaped across the floor, extending his arms out with complete fatherly instinct.

He caught Maya securely against his chest just inches before she hit the ground.

The heavy impact echoed loudly across the empty marble hallway as they landed together.

Richard gasped heavily for air while holding his weeping daughter tight in his arms.
