Mindy: Dad! No! You can't take my dad!
Officer Harris: Quiet down, young lady. Walk toward the exit.
Mindy: Let go of me! This white suit woman tricked everyone! Look at her! She's a criminal!
Victoria stood calmly in the middle of the room, taking a small linen handkerchief from her pocket to wipe a tiny drop of blood from the scratch on her cheek.
Victoria: Marcus, bring up the main projection screens.
Marcus: Right away, Commander.
Marcus pressed a button on a small remote control. The giant LED screens behind the stage flashed white, then displayed a series of bank statements, property deeds, and internal corporate emails for the entire ballroom to see.
Guest 3: Look at those numbers... millions moved to Swiss accounts every month!
Guest 4: He was using the charity fund to pay off his personal yacht payments!
Richard: Turn those screens off! That's confidential financial data!
Victoria: It was confidential until it was introduced as trial evidence in federal court this morning, Richard.
Mindy: You ruined our life! We had everything! We were the top family in Texas!
Victoria: You built your life on lies, Mindy. When you build a house out of stolen bricks, you shouldn't be surprised when it collapses on your head.
Mindy: I hate you! I hate you!
Mindy spat on the floor near Victoria's boots, her face contorted in ugly, helpless rage. Victoria didn't even glance down at the stain.
Victoria: Take her out through the front doors. Make sure the reporters outside get a clear view of her yellow dress.
Mindy: No! Not the reporters! Don't let them take pictures of me like this!
Officer Harris: Keep moving, Miss Sterling.
The officers dragged Mindy down the carpeted aisle toward the exit, her loud screams echoing off the high white walls until the double doors slammed shut behind her.
Richard was led right behind her, his head hung low in utter disgrace as the very people he had tried to impress for decades pulled out their cameras to record his downfall.
Agent Miller: Thank you for your assistance, Commander Vance. The asset seizure team will be arriving at the Sterling mansion in thirty minutes.
Victoria: Ensure the household staff receive their full severance pay from the liquidation fund, Agent Miller. They shouldn't suffer for their boss's crimes.
Agent Miller: Understood, Commander. We'll handle it according to protocol.
The federal agents escorted Richard out of the room, leaving Victoria standing alone on the polished stage under the full natural daylight.
She turned to face the remaining guests, her expression calm, composed, and completely in control.
Victoria: Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for the interruption to your afternoon. The charity gala will proceed as scheduled under the new sponsorship of the Vance Foundation.
The crowd hesitated for a second, then erupted into loud, thunderous applause. several prominent city leaders stepped forward, eager to shake Victoria's hand and distance themselves from the ruined Sterling name.
Mayor Davis: Commander Vance! A truly remarkable day for Dallas! We had no idea Richard was operating such a massive fraud scheme!
Victoria: Now you know, Mayor. And I expect full cooperation from your office during the asset liquidation process.
Mayor Davis: Of course! Anything you need, the city is at your complete disposal!
Victoria shook the Mayor's hand with a firm, confident grip, her black leather glove soft against his palm.
Victoria: Marcus, prepare my car. I have a meeting with the trust executors at the bank.
Marcus: Right away, Commander. The vehicle is waiting in the VIP bay.
