The Escalation In The Mansion

Marcus: Yes, 911? I need an emergency police dispatch and an ambulance at my estate on Willow Way immediately.

Victoria: Hang up that phone right now, Marcus!

Marcus: My wife just physically assaulted my seven-year-old daughter with a weapon. She has a severe burn mark.

Victoria: I didn't weaponize anything! It was a lighter!

Marcus: Please send officers right away. She is still in the house and presents a threat.

Marcus ended the call and placed the phone back in his pocket, his face like stone.

Victoria: You idiot! You just ruined everything we built in this city!

Marcus: You ruined it yourself when you let your cruelty get the better of you.

Victoria: I gave up my career to marry you and take care of this house!

Marcus: You gave up nothing! You spent my money on luxury cars and expensive trips while abusing my child when I was away!

Lily: Daddy, my arm hurts really bad!

Marcus: Shh, sweetie, the paramedics are coming. You're safe now. I promise you'll never have to see her again.

Victoria: I am not going to jail for a minor discipline lesson!

Marcus: Burning a child isn't discipline, Victoria. It's felony child abuse.

Victoria: She was misbehaving! She ruined a ten-thousand-dollar rug!

Marcus: I don't give a damn about the rug! I could buy a thousand rugs and not care!

Victoria: You always put her first! What about my feelings?

Marcus: You are an adult who just tortured a child! You don't get feelings!

Victoria stepped forward, her nails digging into her palms as her voice rose to a scream.

Victoria: If you arrest me, I will file for divorce tomorrow and demand spousal support and half the mansion!

Marcus: Read our prenuptial agreement again, Victoria. Clause 14 specifically states that any criminal act or cruelty voids all financial claims.

Victoria froze, her face losing all color as the reality of her legal situation began to sink in.

Victoria: That clause only applies to infidelity!

Marcus: It applies to domestic felony convictions. My corporate lawyer made sure of it when we signed it.

Victoria: You planned this!

Marcus: I planned to protect my wealth and my child from gold-digging psychopaths like you!

Maria: Mr. Sterling, the burn is starting to blister. She needs medical treatment right away.

Marcus: Bring her down to the living room, Maria. I’ll carry her.

Marcus reached down, picking Lily up into his arms with gentle care, keeping her away from Victoria.

Victoria: Don't walk away from me, Marcus!

Marcus: Get out of my way before I drop you where you stand.

Victoria: You wouldn't touch me!

Marcus: Try standing in front of that door and see what happens.

Victoria backed away slightly, her eyes darting toward the bathroom exit as sirens began to wail in the distance.

Victoria: They're already here?

Marcus: Dallas police don't take long when a billionaire reports a felony in progress.

Victoria: Marcus, please! Think about my family! Think about our reputation!

Marcus: You should have thought about that before you picked up that lighter.

Lily: Daddy, don't let her touch me again!

Marcus: Never again, baby. Never again.
