The Bennett family mansion was alive with preparations for a lavish anniversary celebration. Relatives, business partners, and close friends filled every room while servants hurried through the hallways making sure everything was perfect.
Among the arriving guests was twenty-eight-year-old Lily Harper.
Dressed in a simple yellow dress, she stood nervously outside the front door, clutching a small envelope against her chest.
She had received a handwritten invitation asking her to come that afternoon.
