The Master Returns Home

The Baby She Threw And The Justice He Delivered

Grand wooden double doors burst open with a violent crash, sending a rush of cool morning air swirling through the white foyer under the American flag. An authoritative, fair-skinned man in a dark green velvet suit rushed into the room, his chest heaving as he scanned the space in absolute outrage.

Theodore: What in God's name is happening in my foyer right now?!

Victoria: Theodore! Thank goodness you're here! This lunatic attacked me out of nowhere!

Clara: Don't listen to a single word she's saying, sir! She is lying to your face!

Theodore strode further into the room, heavy running footsteps echoing sharply against the light marble floor. His eyes darted between Victoria's bruised cheek and Clara standing protectively over the crying infant near the American flag.

Theodore: Victoria, why is your face red? And why is Clara holding my son like this?

Victoria: She tried to kidnap the baby, Theodore! And when I tried to stop her, she struck me multiple times!

Clara: That is a despicable lie! Sir, she tried to throw your baby away! I caught him mid-air just before he hit the floor!

An emotional music swell filled the background as Clara cried openly, her hands trembling as she cradled the infant closer to her heart while looking pleadingly at the man in the green suit.

Theodore: Is this true, Clara? Did she really try to drop my child?

Clara: I swear on my life, sir! I watched her toss him up over her head with my own eyes!

Victoria: She is insane, Theodore! Fire her immediately and have her escorted off the premises by the estate guards!

Theodore held up a single hand, silencing his wife with a cold, piercing glare that cut right through her frantic protests. He reached slowly into the pocket of his dark green velvet jacket, his jaw clenched so tightly that the muscles in his face visibly flexed.

Theodore: Be quiet, Victoria. Both of you, just be quiet for one second.

Victoria: Theodore, why are you listening to her instead of your own wife?

Theodore: Because unlike you, I don't rely on blind trust when it comes to the safety of my child.

Clara watched with bated breath as Theodore pulled out his sleek smartphone, his thumb tapping rapidly against the screen under the bright natural daylight. A digital chime rang out through the silent foyer, followed immediately by a dramatic pulse of sound that made Victoria take an involuntary step backward.
