An Unwelcome Discovery

She Tried To Ruin The Secret Baby Until DNA Proved Everything

The headlights of two police cruisers swept across the stained glass windows of the front entrance.

Victoria froze in place as the soft chirping sound of police sirens echoed down the drive.

She turned toward the tall double doors while her face flushed dark red with extreme embarrassment.

Victoria: You actually called the police to my house on the night of my party?

Marcus: They are here to escort you while you pack your personal items from the master bedroom.

Victoria: I built this social life and I will not let you destroy it in one day!

Marcus: You destroyed it yourself the moment you placed my son in danger.

The heavy iron knocker on the front door sounded three slow and loud times throughout the hall.

Marcus walked past Victoria without looking at her and pulled the heavy oak door open wide.

Two uniform officers stood on the wide stone porch with clear legal paperwork held in hand.

Officer Miller: Good evening, Mr. Sterling, we are here regarding the court order issued this afternoon.

Marcus: Good evening, Officer, my wife is inside and ready to gather her clothing items.

Victoria: Officer, this is a terrible misunderstanding created by my husband to embarrass me!

Officer Miller: Ma'am, we have a copy of the judge's order right here in our file.

The officer stepped inside the foyer and pointed toward the paper resting on the marble floor.

Victoria tried to step in front of them to block their path into the main living room.

Her expensive dress caught on the edge of the stair railing, ripping the hem slightly near the floor.

She uttered a small cry of frustration as she stumbled back against the white marble column.

Officer Miller: Please remain calm, ma'am, or we will have to place you under immediate restraint.

Victoria: Do you know who my father is in this city's real estate community?

Officer Miller: Your family background does not override an active protection order signed by a judge.

Marcus watched calmly as the second officer walked up the stairs to supervise her packing process.

He held Noah close and stroked his soft hair while the boy watched the officers with curious eyes.

Victoria knew she was completely trapped without any leverage or options left to fight back.

Her plan to take over the family estate and eliminate Noah from the inheritance had totally failed.

Marcus: You have twenty minutes to take your clothes and leave the property grounds.

Victoria: My lawyer will have this entire order overturned before sunrise tomorrow morning!

Marcus: Your lawyer has already been served with the divorce papers at his city office.
