Evelyn: You can't prove I pushed her, Arthur! It's her word against mine!
Arthur: You really think you can talk your way out of this one, Evelyn?
Evelyn: The staircase is slippery! Everyone knows the maids polished the marble this morning!
Clara: She held my shoulders... and pushed me with all her strength, Arthur...
Arthur: Hear that? She remembers every second of what you did to her.
Evelyn: She's confused because of the shock! Any judge will see that her statement isn't reliable right now!
Arthur: You always think you're the smartest person in the room, don't you? You've spent your whole life manipulating Father and stealing from this family.
Evelyn: Father loved me! He only gave Clara the trust fund because she played the dutiful little daughter!
Arthur: Father gave her the trust fund because he knew you were a greedy addict who would drain the entire family estate within a year!
Evelyn: That money was supposed to save my investment firm! Clara knew I needed three million dollars by Friday to avoid bankruptcy!
Arthur: So you came to this house to demand cash, and when she said no, you tried to kill her!
Evelyn: I didn't try to kill anyone! I just wanted her to sign the emergency power of attorney form!
Arthur looked down at Clara, whose face was pale and covered in cold sweat. Sirens began to echo in the distance, getting louder as emergency vehicles sped down the long private drive.
Arthur: Hold on, Clara. The ambulance is almost here, sweetheart.
Clara: Please don't let her near my baby, Arthur...
Arthur: She will never get within a hundred feet of you or our child ever again.
Evelyn: Arthur, if I go to prison, the entire Sterling brand goes down with me! Think about the family legacy!
Arthur: The only thing going down today is your freedom, Evelyn.
Evelyn: I have top defense lawyers in Miami! They will tear your testimony apart in court!
Arthur: Let them try. Because unlike you, I don't need to lie to prove what happened in this foyer.
Evelyn: What is that supposed to mean?!
Arthur: Look directly above your head at the framed flag on the wall.
