The heavy front doors swung open once again, revealing an older man carrying a leather briefcase. Mr. Harrison, the family's long-time divorce lawyer and estate manager, stepped into the hallway with a serious expression on his face. He stopped instantly when he saw the wet floor, the wine-soaked maid, and the angry couple standing near the grand staircase. He adjusted his glasses and held his briefcase tight against his side, knowing right away that this meeting was going to be much harder than usual.
Mr. Harrison: Good afternoon, David. I brought the requested legal papers.
David: Thank you for coming so fast, Mr. Harrison.
Victoria: Harrison, tell him he cannot throw me out without a judge!
Mr. Harrison: Actually, Mrs. Vance, the terms of your prenuptial agreement are very clear.
Mr. Harrison opened his briefcase and pulled out a thick stack of white papers stamped with official legal seals. He did not look at Victoria with any pity, having seen her rude behavior toward the staff during his previous visits to the estate. He laid out the terms clearly, his voice professional and completely cold as he read the lines that ended her easy life of luxury.
Mr. Harrison: Any act of domestic cruelty or financial fraud voids your rights to the estate immediately.
Victoria: That is absurd! I am his legal wife!
Mr. Harrison: And the camera footage David just sent to my office proves full breach of contract.
David: Sign the papers and pack your bags before the police arrive.
Victoria's face turned completely red with pure rage as she looked at the three people standing against her. She grabbed a nearby vase from a side table and smashed it against the floor, sending pieces of white porcelain flying across the hardwood. But nobody flinched or moved away from her outburst. David stood like a solid rock, his arm wrapped protectively around Hannah's shoulders to keep her safe from any more harm. Victoria realized that her power in this house was totally gone, destroyed by her own cruelty and caught on a simple digital camera high on the wall.
Victoria: You will regret this day, David! You will lose everything without me!
David: I lost everything when I let you into this home. Now I am taking it back.
Mr. Harrison: You have thirty minutes to clear your personal items, Victoria.
She stomped her feet hard against the floor, turning around with her golden dress fluttering behind her as she headed toward the grand staircase. Her loud heels faded away as she marched up to the master bedroom to gather her things under the watchful eye of the house security team, leaving the main hallway quiet at last.
