The Maid Found Tied Inside the Mansion

Jonathan Cole pushed open the bedroom door after returning early from a business trip. His briefcase slipped slightly from his hand as he stepped into the luxurious master suite, expecting to find his wife preparing for dinner.

Instead, he froze.

A young maid was tied to one of the carved wooden bedposts with strips of white cloth wrapped tightly around her wrists. Her blue uniform was wrinkled and stained, tears streamed down her bruised face, and she struggled to comfort two crying infants resting in a nearby carrier.

His wife, Victoria Cole, calmly entered the room behind him wearing an elegant white cocktail dress.

She carried a glass of red wine.

"What the hell is going on?" Jonathan demanded.

The maid quickly shook her head.

"Sir... please keep your voice down."

Her frightened voice confused him even more.

She wasn't asking to be rescued.

She sounded terrified that speaking too loudly would make things even worse.

Jonathan rushed toward her.

As he came closer, the bruises on her face became painfully clear.

His expression hardened.

"You're tied to my bed," he said, struggling to understand what he was seeing. "What happened here?"

The maid lowered her head.

Fresh tears rolled down her cheeks.

Jonathan noticed dark red stains soaking through the white cloth wrapped around her wrists.

The bindings had cut deeply into her skin after hours of struggling.

He immediately reached for the knots.

Before he could untie them, Victoria casually took another sip of wine.

There wasn't the slightest hint of guilt on her face.

Instead, she looked mildly annoyed that her husband had interrupted the situation.

The room fell into an uneasy silence.

Finally, the maid found the strength to speak.

Her trembling voice barely rose above a whisper.

"Mrs. Cole tied me... because I asked to take the babies to the doctor."

Jonathan stared at her in disbelief.

He couldn't believe what he had just heard.

And what Victoria said next only made everything worse.
