David turned toward the grand staircase with a furious expression that frightened even the staff.
His heavy dress shoes thundered against the white marble steps as he marched upward with speed.
Karen stood her ground near the balcony railing, trying to appear completely calm and unbothered.
However, her hands trembled slightly as she set the wooden keepsake box down on the small table.
David reached the top landing within seconds and closed the distance between them with long strides.
David: You crossed a line today that you can never ever step back across!
Karen: Don't yell at me in my own home! She tripped over her own shoes!
David: I saw what you did! You stepped back and let a child fall near the edge!
Karen laughed nervously and pointed an accusatory finger directly at David's chest with arrogance.
Karen: Nobody will ever believe the word of a frightened little girl over mine!
David: I saw it with my own eyes, Karen! You are a monster!
David pointed furiously toward the grand front entrance down below with absolute, blinding rage.
David: Don't you ever dare touch my child again! Get out of my house!
Karen: I have a legal right to stay in this mansion under your father's estate!
David: You have no rights here after endangering my family under this roof!
Karen tried to push past him toward the master bedroom to lock herself safely inside.
David stepped directly into her path and blocked the hallway with his tall, imposing frame.
Karen: Get out of my way right now, or I will call the police on you!
David: Go ahead and call them, because I am already dialing my security team!
The housekeeper rushed into the foyer holding Lily's hand tightly as the shouting echoed loudly above.
Lily was still crying softly, but she felt safer knowing her father was standing up to Karen.
Karen looked over the balcony railing at the house staff gathering near the main entrance below.
She realized that everyone in the home had witnessed her callous behavior during the scary incident.
Her face flushed red with deep embarrassment and frustration as her arrogant composure shattered completely.
Karen: You think you can just kick me out without paying my monthly allowance?
David: You will not receive another single dime from this family trust ever again!
Karen: My lawyers will sue you for breach of contract by tomorrow morning!
David: I welcome the lawsuit, because then the judge will hear about today's events!
David pulled his mobile phone out of his jacket pocket and speed-dialed his head of security.
David: Marcus, bring two guards up to the second floor immediately to escort a trespasser out.
Karen's eyes widened in surprise as she realized David was not bluffing about removing her.
She stepped back toward the wall while clutching her designer handbag tightly against her side.
Karen: You cannot treat me like a criminal after everything I did for your father!
David: You used my father for his money, and now your gravy train has officially crashed!
The heavy front doors swung open below as three security officers entered the grand main foyer.
