The Confrontation In The Foyer

How A Father Saved His Daughter From His Cruel Wife

David stepped directly between Victoria and his terrified little girl.

He pulled Maya behind his back and held her hand tightly in his own.

David: Take your hands off my child immediately, Victoria!

Victoria: Do not raise your voice at me in front of the servants!

David: I heard every single word you just said to her behind my back!

Victoria backed away toward the grand table holding a glass tower display.

Victoria: She is a liar, David! She makes up stories to get your attention!

David: I saw you with my own eyes, and I heard you threaten to lock her away!

David slammed his hand down on the marble console table with great force.

The loud crash made the crystal glasses rattle across the decorative tray.

Victoria stumbled backward in surprise, hitting the edge of the large couch table.

She lost her balance and fell back onto the plush furniture in utter shock.

Victoria: You psycho! How dare you talk to me like this in my own home!

David: This is my home, built with my sweat, and you will leave it today!

Maya clung to her father's coat while sobbing quietly behind his protective frame.

Maya: Daddy, please take me home... I don't want her here anymore!

David knelt down on the cold floor and wrapped his arms around Maya.

He lifted her up into a warm and safe embrace under the large hall light.

David: You are nobody's prisoner, Maya. You are safe now, and I promise nobody will ever hurt you again.

Victoria sat up on the couch while holding her trembling hands out in defense.

Victoria: You cannot kick me out! We are married, and I have rights to this estate!

David: My legal team will deal with you, and your prenuptial agreement leaves you with nothing!

The security team moved forward and stood guard around Victoria on the sofa.

Victoria: You are making a huge mistake, David! You need me to run this family!

David: My family was fine before you entered it, and we will be fine without your cruelty.

David carried Maya toward the soft armchairs in the bright front sitting room.

He wiped the tears off her cheeks with his hand while speaking soft words.

David: I am so sorry I was blind to what was happening, my sweet girl.

Maya: I was scared to tell you because she said you would send me away.

David: I will never send you away, Maya. You are the most important thing in my life.
