Eleanor: She's spinning web of lies, Julian! She's trying to distract you from her own betrayal!
Julian: I asked you a simple question! Did money move out of Dad's estate trust to Dr. Sterling?
Eleanor: Your father was sick during his final months, Julian. He wasn't in his right mind when he drafted those codicils!
Sarah: Your father was completely sane, Julian! He knew your mother was trying to take total control of the family real estate empire after he passed!
Julian: Sarah, tell me what was in the codicil. Word for word.
Sarah: Your father left forty percent of the voting shares in Sterling Enterprises directly to your first child upon their birth. Not to you, not to Eleanor—to the baby.
Julian: Forty percent of the voting shares? That's over three hundred million dollars in equity...
Sarah: Exactly. And if I give birth to a healthy baby boy, those shares freeze until the child turns eighteen, meaning your mother loses her majority vote on the board of directors next month.
Julian: Mom... is this why you wanted her hidden away in upstate New York?
Eleanor: Julian, listen to me! That company belongs to us! Your father worked thirty years to build that firm, and he was going to hand the voting power over to an unborn baby?!
Julian: It was HIS company! He built it! If he wanted his grandchild to own forty percent, that was his decision!
Eleanor: I couldn't let our life's work be locked in a trust fund for eighteen years! I had to protect our seat at the table!
Sarah: So you hired Dr. Sterling to forge my blood tests and claim the baby wasn't Julian's!
Julian: She... she hired the doctor?
Sarah: Yes! Eleanor paid Dr. Sterling fifty thousand dollars six months ago to write a fake prenatal report stating that the paternity didn't match your DNA profile!
Julian: My God... Eleanor, tell me you didn't do that. Tell me you didn't forge my child's paternity records!
Eleanor: I did what any mother would do to protect her family's wealth! She came from nothing, Julian! She was just a schoolteacher when you met her!

Eleanor: And she manipulated you! She knew about the trust clause before you even got married!

Julian: Why did the doctor confess to you, Sarah? Why didn't he just keep taking my mother's money?

Julian: Where is that contract right now, Sarah?
Sarah: It's in Dr. Sterling's safe at the hospital. But Eleanor found out he double-crossed her, so she sent her guards to get me before I could bring the paperwork to a divorce lawyer or the press!
