Victoria: "What... what is this?"
Her voice cracked, the arrogant smirk vanishing instantly from her pale face as her mouth hung open in shock.
Arthur took a slow, authoritative step forward, his shadow engulfing Victoria completely.
Arthur: "I never lost my legs... I was just waiting to see your true face!"
Victoria: "That's impossible! The doctors... the accident six months ago... you were paralyzed!"
Arthur: "The car crash was real, Victoria. The spinal injury was not."
Elena: "Mr. Vance... you can walk?"
Arthur: "Yes, Elena. Thank you for standing up for me just now. You are the only person in this house who showed real loyalty."
Victoria stumbled backward, her tall high heels slipping slightly on the slick marble floor.
Victoria: "You lied to me? You let me take care of you for six whole months?"
Arthur: "Take care of me? Is that what you call plotting with my crooked lawyers and slowly poisoning my tea?"
Victoria: "That's a lie! I loved you! I gave up my life to stay in this isolated luxury mansion with you!"
Arthur: "You didn't stay for me. You stayed for the fifty million dollar life insurance policy and my estate."
Elena stood near the wall, her hands pressed over her mouth in complete disbelief.
Elena: "Poison? Mr. Vance, she was giving you poison?"
Arthur: "Every single night, Elena. She thought the paralysis was keeping me weak while the chemicals ruined my mind."
Victoria tightened her grip on the brass cane, her eyes darting nervously toward the front exit doors.
Victoria: "You have no proof of any of this! No court in the country will believe a word you say!"
Arthur: "I don't need a court to believe my word. I have camera footage."
Victoria froze in her tracks, her face draining of all remaining color.
Victoria: "What camera footage?"
Arthur: "Look closely at the USA flag on the hallway wall, Victoria."
Victoria turned her head slowly, staring at the massive golden frame holding the American flag.
Victoria: "No... you didn't."
Arthur: "A pinhole 4K lens, right in the center star. Recording every single conversation, every powder you dropped in my glass, every threat."
Victoria: "You trap setter! You fake monster!"
Arthur: "I am a businessman who protects his assets. And you are a fraud."
Elena: "Should I call the police now, Mr. Vance?"
Arthur: "Not yet, Elena. I want her to hear the full extent of her failure first."
Victoria raised her brass cane high in the air, her face twisted in pure, desperate rage.
Victoria: "I will end you right here!"
Arthur: "Try it. See what happens to your life sentence."
She lowered the cane slowly, her hands trembling uncontrollably as reality began to set in.
Victoria: "Arthur, please... we can talk about this. We are husband and wife!"
Arthur: "We were husband and wife. Now, you are just a criminal waiting for your handcuffs."
Victoria: "I can give everything back! The power of attorney, the bank access, everything!"
Arthur: "You never had them to begin with."
He reached into his inner suit pocket and pulled out a sleek silver recorder.
Arthur: "Every word you just said to me and Elena is captured here too."
Victoria: "You planned this from the very first day!"
Arthur: "No, Victoria. I planned this from the day I caught you talking to my divorce lawyer about my private trust fund."
