Mr. Vance: Nathan, the officers are here. The arrest warrant for grand larceny and domestic assault has been signed by the magistrate.
Nathan: She's right over here, Mr. Vance. Make sure the footage from the kitchen server is handed directly to the lead detective.
Officer Davis: Victoria Sterling? Or should I say, Victoria Vance-Miller?
Victoria: Don't touch me! Keep your hands off me! Nathan, tell them to stop!
Officer Davis stepped forward, grabbing Victoria's arm firmly and pulling her hands behind her silk-clad back. The cold metal of the handcuffs clicked loudly in the quiet kitchen.
Victoria: Ow! You're hurting my wrists! I am going to sue this entire department!
Officer Davis: You have the right to remain silent, ma'am. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
Victoria: Nathan! Look at me! You loved me once! You can't let them take me away in front of the neighbors!
Nathan: I never loved you, Victoria. I loved the fake persona you put on to trick me. But that mask fell off today, and there's nothing left underneath worth saving.
Mr. Vance: I've already filed for an emergency restraining order on behalf of Elena and Maya. You are not to come within five hundred feet of this property or any member of the Sterling family ever again.
Victoria: You won't get away with this! I know all your company secrets! I'll talk to the press! I'll tell everyone what kind of man you really are!
Nathan: Go ahead and talk, Victoria. The press is already waiting outside the main gate. My public relations team released the full security footage and financial audit ten minutes ago.
Victoria let out a shrill, hysterical scream as the two officers dragged her out of the kitchen, her expensive high heels dragging uselessly across the marble floor she had tried so hard to control. Her cries echoed down the long hallway until the heavy front doors slammed shut, sealing her fate once and for all.
Nathan took a deep breath, resting his hands on the edge of the marble island as the heavy tension in his chest slowly began to ease. He looked up toward the ceiling, hearing the soft, comforting murmur of Elena's voice upstairs as she read a storybook to little Maya.
Mr. Vance: Are you going to be alright, Nathan?
Nathan: I will be. Now that the poison has finally been removed from this house.
Mr. Vance: I'll go make sure the court dates are set for the asset recovery hearing. We should have all Fifty thousand dollars returned to Maya's trust within the month.
Nathan: Thanks, Vance. Make sure Elena gets full legal guardianship of Maya's trust alongside me as well. She earned it today.
