The Fall of Victoria Vance

Victoria: You can't do this to me! I am a respected member of this city's elite!

Julian: You are a criminal, Victoria. And your time is officially up.

The harbor police boats pulled alongside the yacht, and six armed officers quickly boarded the deck, their heavy boots thudding against the polished wood.

Police Officer: Victoria Vance? You are under arrest for grand larceny, child endangerment, estate fraud, and physical assault.

Victoria: Keep your hands off me! Do you know how much money I donate to the police pension fund every year?

Police Officer: Ma'am, put your hands behind your back right now. Anything you say can and will be used against you in court.

The officers grabbed Victoria's arms, snapping heavy metal handcuffs onto her wrists right in front of her wealthy peers.

The guests pulled out their phones, video recording the entire humiliating scene as Victoria screamed and struggled against the police.

Victoria: Julian! Elena! You won't get away with this! My lawyers will have me out by morning!

Julian: Your lawyers were fired an hour ago, Victoria. I bought their firm this afternoon.

Victoria: You... you monster!

Julian: I am not a monster. I am a brother taking back what belongs to my family.

The officers dragged the screaming woman toward the police vessel, leaving behind a silence on the deck that was broken only by the gentle sound of the ocean waves.

Julian turned to Elena, taking his gloves off and holding her trembling hands in his warm palms.

Julian: Are you hurt, Elena? Did she hurt you anywhere else?

Elena: I'm just... I'm just so tired, Julian. I've been tired for so many years.

Julian: It's over now, little sister. You never have to clean another floor, take another insult, or fear another person ever again.

Elena: What about the estate? What about everything she took?

Julian: My legal team is already transferring all remaining assets back into your name. By tomorrow, you will be the rightful owner of the Sterling Global Trust.

Elena looked down at the gold pocket watch sitting in her brother's hand, its gears still ticking steadily despite the chaos around them.

Elena: Father always told me this watch would lead me back home one day.

Julian: And it did. Now, let's get you off this boat and take you home.
