The Noise Behind The Plaster

He Smashed The Luxury Wall And Found His Lost Son

Arthur stood inside the grand hallway of his massive seaside estate while holding a cold glass of water.

The white marble floors reflected the bright daylight streaming through the tall arched glass windows.

He was a wealthy man who had built an empire through years of hard work and endless dedication.

Yet his heart remained completely empty after losing his beloved seven-year-old son, Leo, three years ago.

His second wife, Evelyn, always told him that the tragedy was a sad chapter best left behind.

Arthur tried his best to move forward, but the heavy grief never truly left his tired chest.

On this warm afternoon, the house was supposed to be silent during the upcoming family banquet preparation.

Caterers were setting up silver platters in the nearby ballroom while light classical music played softly.

Arthur paused near the thick decorative wall in the main corridor near the grand formal dining room.

A strange scratching sound echoed from deep within the plaster and trapped his complete attention.

He pressed his ear against the cold white surface and held his breath to listen much closer.

The faint sound heard inside was definitely not a small rat or an old buzzing water pipe.

It sounded remarkably like a steady human rhythm, tapping rhythmically three times in a quiet row.

Arthur: Is someone trapped inside this wall right now?

He called out sharply into the empty air, feeling a sudden surge of strange anxiety in his chest.

Evelyn walked around the corner wearing a beautiful off-shoulder dress and high heels that clicked loudly.

She carried a clipboard filled with event details and smiled sweetly toward her wealthy husband.

Evelyn: What are you doing leaning against the wall, Arthur?

Arthur: I hear tapping behind the plaster in this section of the house.

Evelyn stopped in her tracks, her warm smile vanishing instantly into a pale expression of shock.

Evelyn: That is just the old water pipes rattling again, my dear.

Arthur: That does not sound like pipes to me at all, Evelyn.

Evelyn: Please step away because our guests will arrive very shortly for dinner.

Arthur stared closely at his wife's face and noticed her pale hands were trembling violently.

Why would a simple noise make his calm wife look so completely terrified in a matter of seconds?

He reached up and tapped his own knuckles firmly against the painted drywall in three distinct beats.

A few seconds later, three matching taps came back directly from the exact same spot behind the wall.

Arthur felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up as pure adrenaline surged through his body.

Arthur: Someone is clearly alive on the other side of this drywall!

Evelyn: You are letting your active imagination get the better of you today!

Arthur: I am going to figure out what is hidden inside right now.

He ignored her nervous objections and walked quickly toward the maintenance closet down the hallway.

Evelyn rushed after him, her heavy dress rustling loudly against the polished marble floor.

Arthur grabbed a heavy wooden sledgehammer that was left behind by the recent renovation crew.

The iron head felt cold and heavy in his strong grip as he turned back around to face the wall.

Evelyn gasped loudly and threw her hands over her mouth as he raised the heavy hammer into the air.

Evelyn: Stop this crazy madness before you ruin the entire estate hall!

Arthur: Stand back right now because I am smashing this wall down!
