David did not even look down at Victoria as she groaned on the floor. He dropped straight to his knees beside his mother and sister, his hands trembling as he reached out to help them up. His eyes filled with tears of deep regret for staying away for so long while these good women suffered in silence. He pulled his silk tie loose and wrapped it gently around the bleeding cut on Elena's forearm, his hands shaking with emotion.
David: Mom... Mom, look at me. I am so sorry. I am right here now.
Sarah: David... you grew so tall... my sweet boy...
Elena: She hurt Mom's back, David. She hit her with the wooden handle!
David: I know, sweetheart. I saw it. Nobody will ever touch either of you again. I swear it on my life.
Victoria pulled herself up into a sitting position against the wall, her hair messy and her face red where David had struck her. Her expensive makeup was ruined by tears of anger and embarrassment. She tried to regain her haughty attitude, pointing a shaking finger at David while gasping for air.
Victoria: You laid hands on me! I will call the police! I will have you arrested for assault!
David: Go ahead! Call them right now! Let them look at the security cameras in this hall!
Victoria: I... I turned the cameras off this morning...
David: You turned off the old system, Victoria. You didn't know I had a new high-definition system installed remotely last month to protect my family!
Victoria's face turned completely white. The anger vanished from her eyes, replaced by pure terror. Every single angle of her hitting Sarah with the mop handle was recorded in clear detail on cloud servers. David stood up slowly, turning around to face her like a tall, immovable mountain. He looked down at her with pure disgust in his eyes.
David: You thought you could treat my family like trash because my father passed away? You thought you owned this place?
Victoria: David, please... we are family... we can talk about this like adults...
David: You are not my family. You are a parasite who leech off my father's hard work!
Sarah: David... please do not do anything that will get you into trouble...
David: I am not going to jail, Mom. But she is going to lose everything she ever cared about.
David pulled out his heavy gold phone from his suit pocket and dialed his head corporate attorney on speakerphone. He held the phone out so Victoria could hear every single word clearly.
