No Return For The Groom

Julian: Evelyn... please look at me. I was foolish. I let Veronica manipulate me because I was stressed about the merger negotiations.

Evelyn: You didn't care when I was bleeding on the floor, Julian. You didn't even check if I was breathing.

Julian: I was in shock! I didn't know what to do! You know how I freeze when unexpected things happen!

Evelyn: You didn't freeze when you wrapped your arm around Veronica's waist. You looked so proud protecting her under the American flag.

Julian: I was wrong! I will spend the rest of my life making this up to you! We can annul the marriage, restart our vows, and do everything right!

Evelyn: The marriage certificate was never filed, Julian. My lawyer kept the original copy in his briefcase upstairs until the reception was over.

Julian: What... what are you saying?

Evelyn: I am saying we were never legally married. You are not my husband, and you never will be.

Julian stumbled back against the wall, clutching his head in utter desperation. His phone buzzed again as the mansion's valets began parking his personal sports cars in the tow-away zone outside.

Julian: You planned this... You knew she was going to do something at the reception!

Evelyn: I gave you a chance, Julian. I hoped that when the moment came, you would choose me. I hoped you would be the man you claimed to be when you asked for my hand.

Julian: Evelyn, please! Don't ruin my life over one mistake!

Evelyn: You ruined your own life the second you traded loyalty for greed.

Arthur: Mr. Vance, security guards are waiting at the front entrance to escort you off the premises. Your personal items have been packed into two bags at the front gate.

Julian: This is my mansion! I hosted this wedding!

Arthur: The venue lease was paid by the Sterling Trust. You have five minutes to leave before you are charged with criminal trespassing.

Julian looked around the grand room, searching for a single friendly face among the three hundred guests. But every executive, every socialite, and every former colleague turned their back on him, disgusted by his actions.
