Mark stepped away from Victoria as if he had been burned by a hot flame.
The guests in the pews stood up in complete shock at the sudden revelation.
Victoria's mother rushed up the aisle with a worried look upon her face.
Victoria's Mother: Turn that device off right now! This is entirely illegal!
Mark: Keep your distance! I want to hear every single word on this tape!
The recording continued playing as Victoria's voice explained the full financial demand on tape.
She had forced Olivia to sign away parental rights using fake legal documents back then.
Victoria had used her family estate money to pay off unscrupulous lawyers to lie.
They created a fake death certificate to convince Mark that Olivia was gone forever.
Mark felt a heavy tightness in his chest as the cruel reality washed over him.
He had spent nine long years believing the woman he loved had passed away.
Meanwhile, the woman standing beside him at the altar had orchestrated the entire lie.
Mark: You lied to me every single day for nine whole years, Victoria.
Victoria: I loved you! She was just a poor girl with no future outlook!
Mark: She was carrying my child! Where is Olivia right now, Lucy?
Lucy lowered her head slowly as tears finally spilled down her pale cheeks.
Lucy: She is in the town hospital down the road right now, sir.
Lucy: She became very sick last week and needed a special doctor treatment.
Lucy: The hospital said she needed money from her trust or life insurance policy.
Lucy: But Victoria's lawyers blocked her bank accounts so she could not pay.
Mark turned back to face Victoria with absolute disgust burning inside his dark eyes.
Mark: You tried to cut off her medical support so she would be silent?
Victoria: She broke the agreement by moving back into this state last month!
