Robert stepped closer to Victoria, his jaw tight with righteous anger.
Robert: You tried to destroy my family for a trust fund settlement!
Victoria: Robert, please! I can explain everything if you just listen!
Robert: You are a cold, dangerous monster!
Victoria: It was an accident! You have to believe me!
Robert: I saw the video with my own eyes, Victoria!
The two police officers stepped forward immediately, drawing their handcuffs from their belts.
They grabbed Victoria by both wrists, pulling her hands firmly behind her back.
Police Officer: Victoria Wilmoth, you are under arrest for endangerment and assault.
Victoria: Get your hands off me! Do you know who my lawyer is?!
Robert: You are leaving this house in handcuffs for life!
Victoria: You will regret this, Robert! You hear me?!
The officers led the screaming woman out through the heavy front doors.
The police car lights flashed red and blue against the mansion's white driveway.
Robert turned toward Hannah and took a deep, shaky breath.
Robert: Hannah, you saved my daughter's life today. I can never thank you enough.
Hannah: I promised to protect Lily, Mr. Wilmoth. That is my duty.
Robert: You are family to us now, not just an employee.
Robert knelt down on the cool marble floor right beside the velvet sofa.
He reached out his arms and pulled little Lily into a tight, warm hug.
Robert: Daddy's here, sweetheart... You're safe now.
Lily buried her face into her father's shoulder, her soft whimpers slowly fading away.
