Clarissa crossed her arms and glared down at the man.
She did not realize who David actually was just yet.
She assumed he was just another common guest in attendance.
Clarissa shouted at him that the girl was being disrespectful.
She claimed the child was ruining the expensive event setup.
David stood up slowly while keeping Lily safe in his arms.
His towering frame completely shadowed the arrogant woman in cream.
He stepped forward with steady determination in his heavy eyes.
Clarissa tried to point her finger directly into his face.
David used his free forearm to firmly push her back.
The sudden movement caught Clarissa completely off balance.
She stumbled backward directly into the heavy dessert cart.
The cart shook violently as pastries tumbled onto the floor.
Expensive glass champagne flutes shattered against the marble tiles.
Clarissa landed hard on her knees right in the mess.
The bright cream gown was now ruined with dark frosting.
Gasps echoed across the grand hall from every single corner.
Several security guards chuckled softly under their breath.
Clarissa looked up with a face full of utter shock.
David glared down at her with terrifying intensity.
