The Glass On The Marble Floor

A Wealthy Stepmother Staged A Lie To Frame The Nanny

The grand foyer of the Dallas mansion was completely quiet that morning.

Sunlight poured through the massive front windows onto the polished marble floor.

Sarah adjusted her plain grey uniform apron as she carried a silver tray.

She had worked as a live-in nanny for the Miller family for two years.

Her main job was caring for baby Clara while Mr. David Miller ran his business.

David was a wealthy CEO who spent long hours at his corporate office downtown.

Since his first wife passed away, David focused entirely on his young daughter.

However, six months ago, David had married a woman named Victoria.

Victoria loved the luxury car, the mansion, and the status that came with David.

She did not care much for young Clara or the quiet family routine.

Sarah walked carefully toward the nursery near the primary balcony upstairs.

She heard sharp voices coming from the grand balcony overlooking the main entrance hallway.

Victoria stood near the marble railing wearing an expensive yellow silk dress.

Victoria: You need to take those dusty old baby boxes out to the trash!

Sarah: Mrs. Miller, those boxes hold baby Clara's official trust fund papers and birth records.

Victoria: I do not care what boring paper files are inside them!

Sarah held the velvet box close to her chest to keep it safe.

The box contained the late mother's heirloom ring and the primary estate trust documents.

David had asked Sarah personally to keep those papers locked in the primary office safe.

Victoria stepped closer to Sarah with a cold look in her eyes.

Victoria: Hand that velvet box over to me right now, Sarah!

Sarah: Mr. Miller told me to keep this safe until he gets home from work.

Victoria grabbed the edge of the velvet box with force.

Sarah pulled back gently so the contents would not spill onto the balcony floor.

Victoria suddenly let out a loud and dramatic scream that echoed through the house.

Victoria: Look out! She is dropping it!

Victoria tipped the heavy box over the balcony railing on purpose.

The silver lock broke open as the box tumbled toward the marble floor downstairs.

Sarah rushed to the railing and reached out her hands in horror.

Important legal pages and delicate heirlooms scattered mid-air above the foyer floor.

Sarah sprinted down the winding grand staircase as fast as she could run.

She dropped to her knees on the cold marble floor to catch the falling pieces.

She managed to catch the heavy gold heirloom frame right before it hit stone.

The paper files slid across the smooth floor but remained mostly dry and intact.

Sarah cradled the precious items against her apron with shaking hands.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked up toward the upper floor.

Sarah: Oh my god, what has happened here?

Victoria stood at the top of the stairs with a smug expression on her face.

She quickly pulled her hair loose to make herself look messy and startled.

The heavy front doors of the mansion suddenly swung open with a loud thud.

David rushed into the foyer wearing his dark business suit and holding his briefcase.

He stopped near the entrance as he saw the paper pages spread everywhere.

David: What is going on in my house right now?
