Evelyn followed Clara up the stairs away from the crowd's view.
She stood at the top landing with her arms crossed tightly.
Evelyn: You are ruining my son's entire future existence.
Clara: Mark made his own choice to leave your company.
Evelyn: He belongs here running this multi-million dollar corporation!
Clara: He was miserable under your absolute power and control.
Evelyn: Step away from my family right now forever.
Clara felt a wave of fear and backed up toward the railing.
The second-floor balcony looked directly down at the polished floor below.
Clara: Please stop, Evelyn, I am carrying your grandchild!
Evelyn: That child will only ruin our family name!
Evelyn stepped forward with a cold look of intense rage.
She grabbed Clara's shoulders with surprising force and shoved hard.
Clara lost her footing completely on the slick wooden floor surface.
She tipped backward over the white balcony railing into open air.
Clara let out a terrifying scream that echoed through the mansion.
Down below, Mark heard his wife's voice piercing the music.
He looked up and saw Clara falling from the upper level.
Mark ran faster than he ever had in his entire life.
He shoved past two shocked guests standing near the staircase base.
He launched himself directly underneath the falling body in seconds.
Mark dropped to his knees as he caught Clara safely.
The heavy impact knocked the breath out of Mark's lungs instantly.
They slid together across the hard, cold marble entrance floor.
Clara cried hysterically while clinging tightly to Mark's broad chest.
Clara: My baby... please check my baby!
Mark: I have got you, you are safe now!
