Lily buried her small wet face into Marcus's shoulder, sobbing softly with relief.
Marcus stroked her hair gently while keeping a stern eye on Victoria.
His security chief walked into the kitchen carrying a folder of documents.
Security Chief: Sir, we just searched the home office computer per your request.
Marcus: What did you find on her private computer system?
Security Chief: She signed documents today trying to transfer trust fund assets to herself.
Marcus stared at Victoria with total disgust as the full truth came out.
Victoria had married him only for his immense wealth and estate properties.
She viewed little Lily as an obstacle in her path to total financial control.
Victoria: Those financial papers mean nothing, Marcus, I love this family!
Marcus: You do not know the meaning of the word love, Victoria.
Victoria: I was going to use those funds for Lily's future schooling!
Marcus: Do not lie to me while standing in my own home!
Marcus pointed his finger toward the grand front entrance of the mansion.
Marcus: You have ten minutes to pack your personal clothes and leave.
Victoria: You cannot throw me out into the rain without a lawyer present!
Marcus: Watch me remove you from my property right now.
The security chief stepped forward, holding open the front foyer door wide.
Victoria realized her position was completely lost, and tears of anger rose.
She sneered at Marcus, dropping her fake polite tone entirely.
Victoria: You will regret this day, Marcus Vance!
Victoria: I will sue you for every penny you own in court!
Marcus: My legal team is already filing the emergency paperwork tonight.
Victoria turned on her high heels and marched out into the rain.
