The Confrontation Scene

A Wealthy Boss Protects His Maid From Dangerous Gangsters

Mark drove his heavy black SUV through the dark iron gates of the industrial warehouse district.

Two tall private security guards sat silently in the leather passenger seats beside him.

They pulled up right outside the rusting doors of the old dark auto body shop.

Mark stepped out into the bright afternoon sunlight without showing a single trace of fear.

He pushed the heavy metal door open with a loud echoing metal screeching sound.

Three men were standing around a dusty card table inside the cluttered garage space.

The leader was a greasy man wearing a stained leather jacket over his shoulders.

Gang Leader: Who told you that you could walk in here like you own it?

Mark: You called my employee earlier today and threatened a child's life.

Gang Leader: Oh, so you're the tough guy from the phone call.

Mark tossed a white paper envelope directly onto the center of their dusty table.

Mark: There is a cashier's check for fifty thousand dollars in that envelope.

Gang Leader: Smart man, settling your debts without any unnecessary extra trouble.

Mark: Read the small paper inside before you touch that paper money check.

The man pulled out a folded legal document signed by a local state judge.

Mark: That is a full legal debt release form for Tommy and his family.

Mark: You sign that right now, or my attorneys destroy your whole operation.

Gang Leader: You think a piece of paper frightens us in this alley?

Mark pointed calmly out the open garage doors toward the sunlit street outside.

Four dark police vehicles pulled up quietly, their red and blue lights flashing brightly.

Mark: Sign the paper and take the money, or leave in handcuffs.
