Sarah pulled her smartphone out of her small bridal pouch with a trembling right hand.
Tears ran continuously down her face as she dialed a private number she knew by heart.
She held the phone up to her ear, listening to the agonizingly slow ringing dial tone.
Sarah: Please answer me...
She prayed that her older brother, Thomas, would answer his phone on the first try.
Thomas was a powerful divorce lawyer and estate attorney working downtown in nearby Houston.
He had missed the early morning flights due to a sudden heavy flight delay issue.
The phone clicked open as Thomas's voice came through the speaker loud and clear.
Thomas: Sarah, what is going on? I am just pulling into the parking lot now.
Sarah: Eleanor is ruining everything, Thomas! She ripped my gown and demanded my inheritance rights!
Thomas told her to stay completely calm and hold her ground near the wedding arch.
He strode through the entrance gates wearing a formal black suit with a heavy leather briefcase.
His fast footsteps echoed across the stone path as guests turned their heads to watch him.
Eleanor frowned when she saw Thomas walking with absolute confidence straight toward the altar area.
She had assumed Sarah had no legal backup present to defend her humble family name.
Thomas stood beside his sister, placing a comforting hand on her trembling shoulder immediately.
He pulled out a set of official legal documents from his dark leather briefcase swiftly.
Thomas: Eleanor, you are making a massive mistake based on complete lies today.
Eleanor laughed coldly, claiming Sarah was a penniless girl seeking their vast family wealth.
Thomas unfolded a certified land deed bearing a prominent gold official state Seal.
He revealed that Sarah was actually the primary heir to her grandfather's massive oil ranch estate.
The property was worth over twenty million dollars and included lucrative long-term commercial mineral leases.
Sarah had never spoken about her true family wealth because she wanted Mark's pure love.
The whole crowd gasped loudly as the truth about Sarah's real background finally came out.
