Justice In The Hall

A Stepmother Ruined The Banquet But Grandfather Arrived Just In Time

Richard watched his partner in crime get dragged out by the police officers.

He fell to his knees on the marble floor near the broken champagne glass.

Richard: Sarah, please talk to your father! Tell him to stop the lawsuit!

Sarah looked down at her ex-husband without a single drop of pity left.

Sarah: You watched her push our daughter down and did nothing.

Sarah: You actually shoved me into that glass table yourself.

Richard: It was an accident! I was just angry!

Sarah: Anger is no excuse for cruelty, Richard.

Arthur stepped between Richard and Sarah, blocking his view of them.

Grandfather Arthur: My lawyers will handle your divorce settlement adjustments tomorrow.

Grandfather Arthur: You will lose all custody rights to Victoria permanently.

Richard: You can't take my child away from me!

Grandfather Arthur: You surrendered that right the moment you harmed her.

Two security guards lifted Richard to his feet and escorted him out.

The entire ballroom erupted into loud chatter as the drama quieted down.

Arthur turned to face the remaining guests with total dignity and composure.

Grandfather Arthur: This event is officially over. Please clear the hall.

The guests quickly gathered their belongings and walked out the heavy doors.

Within minutes, only Arthur, Sarah, Victoria, and the guards remained inside.

The high marble hall was quiet again, lit by the warm afternoon sunlight.

Sarah took a deep breath, feeling a massive weight lift off her shoulders.

She knelt down and pulled Victoria into a tight, warm hug once more.

Sarah: It is over now, sweetie. Nobody will ever hurt us again.

Victoria: Is Grandpa coming home with us now?

Arthur smiled softly as he walked over to join their warm embrace.

Grandfather Arthur: We are all going home to the main estate together.

He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small velvet box.

He opened it to reveal a beautiful gold bracelet with tiny heart charms.

Grandfather Arthur: I bought this for your birthday three months ago, Victoria.

Grandfather Arthur: I was never allowed to send it to you until today.

Victoria's eyes lit up with joy as her grandfather fastened it on her wrist.

Victoria: It is so pretty, Grandpa! Thank you!

Sarah looked at her father with deep gratitude filling her tearful eyes.

Sarah: How did you manage to get out of that facility, Dad?

Grandfather Arthur: A loyal old friend realized what Evelyn was doing to me.
