The Accusation on the Stairs

A Dallas Maid Saved A Baby And Exposed The Bride

The morning sun poured through the massive stained glass windows of the grand Dallas mansion.

Clara adjusted her apron while walking polished white marble floors toward the sweeping foyer staircase.

She had worked as a housemaid for the wealthy Vance family for nearly three years.

David Vance was a respected real estate developer who cared deeply about his children.

His young fiancee Victoria Sterling moved into the estate just two short months ago.

Victoria always looked flawless in expensive designer dresses and glittering diamond jewelry.

However her cold attitude toward the staff made everyone in the house extremely nervous.

Clara pushed the smooth silver baby stroller carefully past the tall brass floor lamps.

Inside the comfortable padded stroller sat eight month old baby Leo sleeping very peacefully.

Suddenly Clara noticed the top step of the grand staircase looked unusually slippery.

A clear oily puddle had been spilled right near the top polished step railing.

Clara gasped and pulled the stroller handle back toward her chest with all her strength.

The wheels squeaked sharply against the gleaming white floor as she stopped just in time.

Her heart hammered inside her chest as she secured the heavy manual brake handle.

Before Clara could take a deep breath Victoria came rushing around the corner upstairs.

Her heels clicked loudly while her expensive silk evening gown swished against the banister.

Victoria: What are you doing with my baby near those dangerous stairs?

Clara: Ma'am, there is oil on the top step and I stopped him!

Victoria: You careless idiot, you almost let him fall down the stairs!

Victoria marched down the steps with her eyes flashing in extreme anger.

She grabbed Clara's arm roughly and pointed her manicured finger toward the open floor.

Victoria: You are fired from this house effective right now!

Clara: Please listen to me, I swear I saved baby Leo!

Clara dropped to her knees on the marble floor and held the crying baby tightly.

She cradled the little boy close to shield him from Victoria's furious screaming.

Victoria reached down and yanked the stroller away while yelling at the top of her lungs.

The loud shouting echoed loudly off the high ceilings of the opulent Dallas mansion.

Clara wept quietly as she knelt on the hard cold floor beneath the grand chandelier.

She knew that losing this job meant she could not pay her mother's medical bills.

Victoria placed her hands on her hips and glared down at the trembling maid.

Victoria: Pack your bags and leave before I call the local police department!

Clara: I have done nothing wrong and I love this sweet baby!

Suddenly the heavy oak front doors swung open with a loud thudding sound.

David Vance stepped inside the grand foyer holding his dark leather executive briefcase.

Two personal security guards followed closely behind him carrying important legal documents.

David stopped in his tracks as he witnessed the chaotic scene in his front hallway.

David: What is going on in my house on my wedding week?
