Mrs. Marshall took a quick step backward, her face turning completely white.
She clutched the blue folder tightly against her ribs like a shield.
Mrs. Marshall: Julian! You can't just barge into my house and shout at me!
Julian took three fast strides across the wide hardwood floor space.
He snatched the blue document folder straight out of his mother's hands.
Julian: This house isn't yours. It belongs entirely to Ava!
Mrs. Marshall: I raised you! I built your business career from the ground up!
Julian: You built nothing except a mountain of cruel lies and unpaid debts!
Julian held up the legal papers high in the bright room light.
The red official seal of the supreme court shone clearly on the front page.
Julian: I went to the city courthouse early this morning before my meeting.
Mrs. Marshall: What did you do at the courthouse without asking me first?
Julian: I finalized the irrevocable trust for Ava's family property rights.
Mrs. Marshall: You gave away our family legacy to this sick nobody?
Julian: This legacy belonged to her late father, and you tried to steal it!
Ava watched from the floor as her husband shielded her from his mother.
The relief in her heart was so strong it made tears spill over her cheeks.
Mrs. Marshall raised her hand in anger, her voice turning shrill and loud.
Mrs. Marshall: I am your mother! You will show me proper respect in this house!
Julian: You lost the right to call yourself my mother when you harmed my wife.
Mrs. Marshall: She is lying to you to turn you against your own blood!
Julian: I saw the hidden security camera footage from the hallway, Mother.
Mrs. Marshall froze, her mouth dropping open in total silence and shock.
Julian: I saw you hiding her prescriptions in the hall cabinet three days ago.
Mrs. Marshall: That was just... a simple mistake... I was cleaning up!
Julian: You put her life in danger for money, and I will never forgive you.
Mrs. Marshall stepped forward to grab Julian's dark suit sleeve in panic.
Julian reacted instantly to protect his space and push her back away.
He swung his hand out to block her path, slapping her grab away with force.
The sharp sound of the contact echoed loudly across the high ceiling.
Mrs. Marshall stumbled back two steps, clutching her shocked, red face.
She stared at her son as if she had never seen him before in her life.
Julian: Do not touch me, and do not ever step near Ava again.
Sirens began to wail in the distance outside the large glass windows.
Julian had called an emergency medical team before he stepped into the house.
The long reign of terror in the estate was finally coming to an end.
