Justice in the Ballroom

A Rich Woman Pushed A Child Over Wedding Cake

David looked down at Victoria with utter disgust and pure paternal fury.

He set Lily down safely behind Maria on the upper floor corridor.

Then he turned back around and stepped right in front of Victoria.

Groom: YOU ASSAULTED MY DAUGHTER OVER A WEDDING CAKE!

David swung his hand open and delivered consecutive slaps across Victoria's face.

The loud impact echoes boomed across the marble walls of the grand ballroom.

Victoria shrieked loudly as the force knocked her down onto the floor.

Her emerald-green diamond gown crumpled against the hard, polished marble surface.

She lay there looking up in total shock, her hair messy and face burning red.

Groom: YOU ARE DEAD TO ME!

David turned toward the venue security team standing near the main doors.

Groom: GUARDS, THROW THIS MONSTER OUT AND LOCK HER UP FOR LIFE!

Four uniformed security guards marched forward across the ballroom floor immediately.

They grabbed Victoria by her arms and dragged her up from the ground.

Victoria kicked her legs and screamed, but no guest stepped forward to help her.

Victoria: You can't do this to me! Do you know who I am?!

Groom: I know exactly who you are, a cruel bully who hurts children.

Victoria: This is a mistake! Let me go right now!

Guard: Quiet down, lady. You're coming with us to the police line.

The guards escorted Victoria out through the heavy double doors into daylight.

The crowd of guests broke into soft applause as she was removed.

David walked back over to where Maria was comforting little Lily near the railing.

He took out a silk handkerchief and gently wiped the tears from Lily's cheeks.

Groom: Are you okay, sweetheart?

Lily: My knees hurt, Daddy, but I still have the money.

Groom: What money, my baby?

Lily opened her small hand to reveal the crumpled twenty-dollar bill inside.

Lily: I wanted to buy cake for Mommy and you.

David felt a lump form in his throat as he hugged his daughter tightly.

He realized his child had suffered because of another person's baseless hatred.
