Victoria took a step backward on the marble steps, trying to maintain her calm composure. She swallowed hard, but her pale face betrayed her guilt. Carter walked up the stairs toward her, holding the screen inches away from her face so she could see her own crime playing on loop.
Carter: THEN EXPLAIN WHAT YOU WERE DOING IN THAT ROOM!
Victoria: Carter... I was just... I was looking for my lipstick!
Carter: YOU PLANTED THOSE JEWELS IN HER BAG!
Victoria: No! That video is fake! It's a glitch! You have to believe me, Carter!
Carter: The camera recorded your face clearly! You framed an innocent woman!
Elena stopped crying and looked up in absolute shock. The police officer lowered his hands and stared at Victoria with disgust. The whole truth was laid out right under the bright Texas daylight, clear as day.
Elena: Miss Victoria... why would you do this to me? I served you with respect!
Victoria: Shut up! You are just a filthy maid! Nobody cares about your life!
Carter: Do not speak to her like that ever again!
Carter's voice echoed off the grand marble entrance of the mansion. He was breathing heavily, his heart pounding with rage against his chest. He realized that the woman he was planning to marry was a heartless monster who was willing to destroy a poor worker's life just out of spite.
Victoria tried to reach out and touch Carter's arm, trying to squeeze his hand with fake affection. Her voice turned soft and needy as she attempted to lie her way out of the disaster she had created.
Victoria: Carter, baby, please listen to me. She was disrespectful to me yesterday! I just wanted to teach her a small lesson so she would respect me!
Carter: You wanted to put her in prison! You wanted to destroy her child's future!
Victoria: It was just a stupid trick! It's not a big deal! We have money, we can fix it!
Carter: You are sick. You are a disgusting, wicked human being.
Victoria's eyes turned sharp and mean as her soft act failed completely. She straightened her posture and glared at Carter with pure malice, showing her true colors to everyone present.
