Two police cruisers pulled up outside the large front lawn of the house.
Mark tried to slip out toward the side door leading to the garage.
David blocked the exit firmly, refusing to let Mark escape the law.
David: You're not going anywhere until the officers sort this out.
Mark: Get out of my way before I sue you for trespassing!
The front door opened wide as two officers walked into the daylight room.
Officer Ramirez looked at the crying child and the hostile husband standing near the flag.
Officer Ramirez: We received a distress call regarding domestic violence in progress.
Sarah stepped forward holding Emily, her posture strong and firm.
Sarah: My husband assaulted our daughter and threatened us both.
Mark: She's lying! She attacked me first! Look at my back!
Officer Ramirez looked at the security camera mounted in the upper corner room.
Sarah pointed to the camera system recording every corner of the grand living space.
Mark froze as he remembered the continuous cloud recording system he had installed.
Sarah: Check the footage, officer. It shows everything that happened today.
Officer Ramirez: Mark Johnson, keep your hands where we can see them.
Mark backed up against the wall, realizing he was trapped by his own actions.
The officer stepped forward to place handcuffs on Mark's wrists.
