Mark pulled out his smartphone with trembling fingers near the driveway.
He tapped on the smart home security application icon immediately.
The front lawn camera had recorded every single second of the morning.
Sarah stood close to Mark so she could watch the digital screen.
Evelyn's face turned completely pale as Mark pressed the play button.
The digital video stream opened clearly under the bright sunlight.
On the screen Evelyn was seen walking aggressively toward young Lily.
Lily was holding her tiny puppy near the wooden garden fence.
Evelyn snatched the leash forcefully and pulled the child roughly backwards.
The child fell onto the grass while Evelyn yelled in her face.
Leo had tried to intervene but Evelyn pushed him away angrily.
Mark stared at the small screen with pure disbelief in his eyes.
A deep low rumble of frustration washed over his entire body.
Father: Mother, how could you do something like this to Lily?
Evelyn gasped in terror as she realized the video was crystal clear.
Grandmother: It looks much worse on video than it actually was!
Mother: The video shows the absolute truth of your cruel actions!
Mark stepped between his mother and his trembling young wife.
He looked at his mother like he was seeing a stranger today.
Father: You dragged our little girl across the lawn over a rule?
Grandmother: She was disobedient and needed to learn respect for adults!
Boy: Lily was just feeding her dog breakfast like Mom told her!
Sarah took a deep breath to steady her shaking hands and mind.
She stepped closer to Mark and looked him dead in the eyes.
Mother: She cannot stay in our home for another single hour.
Evelyn raised her voice in shock at Sarah's firm new command.
Grandmother: This is my son's home and you cannot kick me out!
Father: Sarah is right, Mother, you need to pack your things.
Evelyn stumbled back slightly as if she had been hit physically.
She looked around the quiet suburban neighborhood with visible humiliation.
A few neighbors were standing on their porches watching the drama unfold.
The American flag fluttered gently against the white house facade behind them.
Lily held onto her mother's denim skirt with both small hands.
Girl: Is Grandma going away now, Mommy?
Mother: Yes, sweetheart, nobody is going to hurt you ever again.
Mark saved the security footage directly into his phone cloud storage.
He knew this video evidence would change their family forever now.
Evelyn clutched her expensive purse tightly against her beige jacket.
Grandmother: You are turning my own son against me over nothing!
Father: Cruelty to my children is not nothing to me, Mother.
