Julian pulled his cell phone from his suit pocket and dialed three simple numbers without hesitating for a second.
He placed the phone to his ear and spoke clearly to the local police dispatcher on the line.
"I need officers at the Sterling mansion immediately. I have evidence of fraud, break-in, and attempted theft."
Gwen panicked and lunged forward to grab the phone out of Julian's hand before he could finish.
Julian stepped out of her reach easily, holding her arm back until she stumbled onto the rug.
"You can't do this to me, Julian! Think about what people will say about our upcoming wedding!"
"The wedding is canceled, Gwen. And you are going to answer for every single crime you committed."
Ten minutes later, two police cruisers pulled up the long concrete driveway in front of the mansion.
The officers walked into the library where Julian handed over the authentic documents and the forged paperwork.
They placed metal handcuffs around Gwen's wrists while she screamed insults at both Julian and Sarah.
"You will pay for this! Both of you!" Gwen shrieked as the officers led her out through the front doors.
The loud front doors slammed shut behind her, bringing absolute peace back to the large house.
Julian walked back into the foyer where Sarah was picking up her cleaning bucket and damp towels.
"Sarah, stop cleaning," Julian said in a gentle voice as he stepped over the wet floor marks.
Sarah paused and looked down at her feet, still worried she might be reprimanded or sent home early.
"I am sorry about the mess in the hallway, sir. I will mop it all up right now."
"No, Sarah. You are never going to scrub these floors again," Julian said firmly with a warm smile.
Sarah looked up in confusion, wondering if she was being fired despite helping him find the truth.
"You saved my family's legacy today when you had every reason to stay silent and protect yourself."
"Starting today, I am hiring you as the full-time estate manager with a proper salary and benefits."
Sarah felt tears of genuine relief fill her eyes as she processed the life-changing words he just spoke.
