The Paperwork In The Safe

A Maid Revealed The Truth Before He Drank Everything

Julian immediately locked the front gates of the mansion using his master security code.

He dialed the local police station and requested immediate emergency assistance at his address.

Victoria sat on a velvet couch in the living room, weeping loudly and cursing at everyone.

Julian led Emily into his private home office, shutting the heavy oak door behind them.

He walked over to his wall safe hidden behind a large oil painting of his family.

He entered the combination and opened the heavy steel door with a firm pull.

Inside lay important corporate documents, high-value jewelry, and recent legal papers from his lawyer.

Julian pulled out a thick blue folder containing his life insurance policy and legal will.

Julian: Look at this date on the front page, Emily.

Emily looked closely at the fresh black ink signed at the bottom of the page.

Emily: It was signed just three weeks ago, Mr. Vance.

Julian: Victoria insisted that I sign a new life insurance policy last month.

The policy stated that Victoria would inherit forty million dollars if Julian died unexpectedly.

In addition, she would gain complete control of his multinational logistics company immediately.

Julian sank into his leather office chair, burying his face in his cold palms.

Julian: I was so foolish to trust her promises of love and devotion.

Emily: You are a good man, sir, who wanted to believe his wife.

Julian: If you had not acted so quickly, I would be dead on that floor.

Tears welled up in Julian's eyes as he looked up at the young housemaid.

Julian: Emily, you saved my life today, and I will never forget it.

Emily: I only did what was right, Mr. Vance.

Julian pulled out his desk drawer and extracted a clean white paper notepad.

He wrote down the contact number for his senior personal attorney, Arthur Pendelton.

He dialed the number and put the phone call on speaker so Emily could hear.

Arthur: Good morning, Julian, what can I do for you today?

Julian: Arthur, cancel every power of attorney paper linked to Victoria right now.

Arthur: Did something happen between you two this morning?

Julian: She just tried to poison my drink to collect on the new insurance policy.

The attorney gasped loudly over the clear telephone speaker line in the office.

Arthur: I am calling the corporate legal team and freezing all shared bank accounts.

Julian: Do it immediately before she tries to transfer any money overseas.

Out in the main hallway, loud flashing lights began reflecting through the glass windows.

Two police cruisers pulled into the long driveway, their sirens echoing across the neighborhood.

Julian stood up from his desk and looked out at the arriving police officers.

Julian: It is time for her to face the full consequences of her actions.
