Maya: Oh sweet Lord... there’s another child in here!
Eleanor: Turn that light off! Guards, grab her!
Maya: Don't touch me! If any of you lay a finger on me, I’ll scream so loud the entire charity gala will pour into this hallway!
Two tall security guards in black suits hesitated near the hallway entrance, looking nervously between Eleanor and the maid holding a flashlight. Maya didn't wait for them to make up their minds. She squeezed herself partially into the cavity, reaching out her hand toward the young boy chained to the floor.
Maya: Sweetheart, can you hear me? Reach for my hand!
Leo: It hurts... my ankles hurt...
Maya: I’m going to get you out, I promise. Hold on tight!
Maya used the key ring she had taken from the little girl's handcuffs, frantically trying the small silver keys on the padlocks binding the boy's heavy iron chains. With a sharp metallic click, the lock gave way, and the heavy chains clattered against the concrete floor. Maya pulled the weak ten-year-old boy out into the bright hallway, wrapping her arms around both children near the shattered glass.
Eleanor: You have ruined everything, you ignorant little girl! Do you have any idea what you've done to this family's trust fund?!
Maya: You locked your own family's children in a wall for money?!
Eleanor: They are not my family! They are the illegitimate offspring of my late stepson! If the estate lawyers found out about their existence, my daughter and I would lose fifty percent of the Vance inheritance!
Maya: You starved and bound two innocent kids just to keep a multi-million-dollar inheritance for yourself?!
Eleanor: Business is business, Maya. In high society, weakness is a disease. Now guards, take those children and put them in the garage basement until the guests leave!
Julian: Touch them, and I'll put a bullet through your head myself.
