The grand ballroom was fully decorated with white flowers and lights.
A massive American flag hung proudly on the main central wall.
Guests were taking their seats quietly along both polished aisles.
Mark stood near the altar talking to the wedding minister softly.
Suddenly, the heavy double doors at the entrance swung open wide.
Lily ran crying into the ballroom with tears soaking her dress.
Vanessa followed right behind her, trying to look totally calm now.
Mark saw his crying daughter and froze in complete utter shock.
Mark: What is going on here?!
Mark rushed down the center aisle toward his weeping young child.
He stepped directly between Lily and Vanessa under the bright flag.
Mark knelt on the cold marble floor and hugged Lily tightly.
Mark: Sweetheart, are you okay? Tell daddy what happened.
Lily: Daddy! Look at the phone... Mommy has pictures with her other boyfriend!
The entire ballroom fell into a dead and stunned heavy silence.
Guests leaned forward in their seats, whispering to one another fast.
Vanessa's face went completely pale as white chalk in an instant.
Vanessa: Mark, she is lying! She dropped my phone and made things up!
Lily: I am not lying! The phone is in her flowers!
Mark looked directly into Vanessa's nervous and shifting brown eyes.
He reached out his hand firmly toward her white rose bouquet.
Mark: Hand me the phone right now, Vanessa.
Vanessa: Mark, please, this is crazy! It is our wedding day!
Mark: Give me the phone right now!
Vanessa's hand trembled as she pulled the smartphone out slowly.
Mark snatched the phone from her hand without touching her fingers.
The screen was still lit up with open photo galleries displayed.
Mark scrolled through the clear images with a growing heavy horror.
There were dozens of photos of Vanessa with another handsome man.
The dates on the photos showed recent trips taken last week.
She had claimed she was visiting her sick mother out of state.
In reality, she was staying at luxury hotels with another lover.
Mark read text messages discussing how to use Mark's wealth together.
Vanessa had been planning to access Mark's family trust fund money.
A deep sick feeling settled in the pit of Mark's stomach.
