A Line Drawn in Sand

A Greedy Uncle Tried To Steal My Son's Inheritance Today

Richard reached out his hand to block David from calling for help.

He shouted loudly at his brother while stepping over the smooth white floor.

Leo let out a small cry and backed toward the open patio doors.

The little boy stumbled slightly on the edge of the soft carpet.

Richard turned his head and glared meanly toward the scared child.

Richard: Get out of my way right now, kid!

David: Do not you dare speak to my son like that, Richard!

Richard made a quick aggressive step toward the small boy near the glass door.

He made a loud threatening gesture to scare the frightened child away.

Leo tripped over his own feet and sat down heavily on the patio grass.

David felt a surge of hot rage fill his chest immediately.

He rushed across the bright living room faster than he had ever moved.

He placed his firm hands gently around his small son's shoulders.

He lifted Leo up from the green grass and pulled him close.

David: Stay away from my child!

Richard: You are soft, David, just like our father was!

David stood up tall and locked his eyes onto his younger brother.

His jaw tightened as he stood in the bright daylight of the room.

The framed American flag artwork hung quietly on the clean wall behind them.

David handed his son to the trustworthy family nanny who ran inside.

David: Take Leo upstairs to his bedroom and lock the heavy door.

The nanny nodded quickly and carried the crying boy up the stairs.

Now only the two brothers remained standing in the large front hallway.

Richard laughed in a dark way and adjusted his dark polo shirt.

He felt confident because he thought David would never fight back.

He held the fake contract papers out toward David once again.

Richard: You sign these documents or I will ruin your entire business!

David: You have crossed a line that you can never cross back.

David took a bold step forward toward his dangerous relative.

The quiet room was full of tension as the two men faced each other.
