The Wedding She Never Wanted

A Father Stopped The Wedding When His Daughter Cried Out

The bright chandeliers lit up the massive white hall with a cold glow.

Dozens of wealthy guests sat silently on rows of golden chairs.

A massive American flag hung framed on the wall above the altar.

Julian adjusted his dark tuxedo while standing beside the pastor.

He smiled at the crowd like a man who owned the entire room.

Julian: Today is the greatest day of my life.

Victoria: You deserve all of this, my dear Julian.

Little Lily sat in the front row in a soft beige dress.

Her small fingers clutched her dress while her knees trembled softly.

She looked up at the stage with tears swelling in her brown eyes.

Lily: I want my real home back right now.

Victoria: Hush child, you need to behave yourself today.

Lily: You are not my mother and you never will be!

The guests around the front row began to whisper among themselves.

Julian lowered his smile and glared directly down at the young girl.

Julian: Stop making a public scene this very second.

Lily: I don't want her to be my new mommy!

Julian stepped down from the platform with quick angry strides.

He pointed his finger directly into Lily's pale face.

Julian: You will remain silent until this ceremony is finished!

Lily backed away until her tiny shoulders hit the wooden bench.

She wiped a tear from her cheek with her trembling hand.

Lily: My daddy told me you were lying to everyone.

Julian: Your father is gone and he is never coming back!

Victoria smoothed down her silk wedding dress with a smirk.

She looked down at Lily without a single grain of mercy.

Victoria: Your father gave up his rights to the entire estate.

Lily: That is a big dirty lie!

Julian: That is enough out of you right now!

Julian grabbed Lily's arm tightly to pull her out of sight.

Lily gasped in fear as she tried to pull herself free.

Lily: Let go of me right now!

The guests gasped loudly as the tension filled the quiet hall.

Nobody moved to help the small girl in the front row.

Julian pulled her toward the side aisle near the security door.

Julian: You will sit in the back until we sign the papers.

Lily: Help me, somebody please help me!

Suddenly the heavy wooden entrance doors swung wide open with a crash.

A tall man in a dark suit stood framed in the sunlight.

His chest heaved with heavy air as his eyes scanned the room.

David: Take your hands off my daughter right now!

Lily looked across the long aisle and gasped through her tears.

Lily: Daddy!

David marched down the center aisle with fast powerful strides.

His face was red with pure anger as he glared at Julian.

David: Touch her again and see what happens to you!

Julian stepped back quickly while releasing Lily's arm.

Julian: You are trespassing on private property, David!

David: I am standing up for my innocent daughter today!

The entire crowd held their breath as the two men faced each other.
