Victoria grabbed her soaked leather designer handbag off the marble counter in shame.
She stumbled awkwardly in her high heels as she hurried toward the front entrance hall.
Mark pulled his smartphone out of his pocket while keeping his arm around Leo.
He dialed his personal family attorney, David, who managed all his commercial legal accounts.
"David, I need you to come over to my house immediately with the police," Mark said.
"My wife just attempted to contaminate my drink and attacked my son," he added clearly.
Mark also called his private security team to secure the estate premises right away.
Victoria tried to open the heavy front door to escape into her sports car outside.
However, two uniformed security officers were already standing near the front gate driveway.
They blocked her vehicle path before she could even reach the driver side door.
Within ten short minutes, a city police cruiser pulled up to the front entrance.
Two uniformed officers stepped out of the patrol car and walked up the steps.
Mark greeted the officers at the door and invited them into the sunlit room.
He showed the police officers the glass pitcher and the tiny empty vial on the counter.
The officers carefully collected the liquid evidence inside specialized sample bottles for legal testing.
"We will have the state crime lab analyze this clear substance right away," the officer stated.
Victoria stood outside near the driveway while officers questioned her about the suspicious bottle.
She tried to blame the young child once again, but her excuses made no sense.
The police officers noted the clear red juice stains all over her white dress.
They placed handcuffs around her wrists and placed her inside the rear patrol car seat.
Mark stood on the front porch holding Leo's hand as the police car drove away.
He felt a massive weight lift off his chest as the dangerous woman was removed.
He looked down at his young son and smiled warmly to reassure him completely.
"You were very brave today, Leo," Mark said softly while kneeling on one knee.
"I was scared, Daddy, but I didn't want anything bad to happen to you," Leo answered.
Mark hugged his son tightly against his chest right under the bright sunshine.
He knew he had to make sure Victoria could never return to threaten them ever again.
He immediately instructed his lawyer to file emergency divorce paperwork and full restraining orders.
He was determined to strip her of any rights to his estate or money.
The long battle for full justice was just beginning, but Mark was ready to fight.
