Two uniformed police officers walked quickly through the front entrance.
Arthur guided them directly into the grand main foyer.
Officer Miller: Marcus Vance, we received a distress call regarding child endangerment.
Marcus: She pushed my daughter down the main staircase, Officer.
Victoria: That is an absolute lie, he is making it all up!
Arthur stepped forward and handed the officers a small black drive.
Arthur: We have complete security camera footage of the entire hallway.
Victoria: You had cameras installed near the staircase?
Marcus: Every single inch of this home is fully monitored for safety.
The officer reviewed the clear video file on his mobile device.
His face hardened as he watched the terrible scene play back.
He saw Victoria push the innocent young child without hesitation.
He turned back to Victoria with a cold, serious look.
Officer Miller: Victoria Vance, you are under arrest for child endangerment and fraud.
Victoria: Get your hands off me, I am a wealthy woman!
The second officer placed silver handcuffs firmly around her thin wrists.
Victoria struggled against them, but she could not escape the metal bonds.
She glared at Marcus with pure hatred in her eyes.
Victoria: You will regret doing this to me, Marcus!
Marcus: The only thing I regret is letting you into our lives.
The officers escorted Victoria out through the heavy wooden doors.
The bright flashing lights slowly faded down the long private drive.
Silence fell over the large house once again.
Marcus took a deep, clear breath for the first time all day.
