Adrian's eyes scanned the handwritten lines left behind by his beloved late wife Clara.

Little Lily held onto Adrian's pant leg, looking up at him with trusting eyes.
Adrian reached for his desk phone and quickly dialed the local police department number.
"I need the police at the Vance Manor immediately," Adrian said firmly into the receiver.
Nora turned and tried to sprint out of the office toward the grand front entryway.
But the mansion's head security guard was already standing in the hallway right outside.
He grabbed Nora firmly by the arms, stopping her attempt to escape the estate.
"Let go of me!" Nora screamed, struggling uselessly against the guard's strong grip.
Adrian walked out into the hallway, holding small Lily securely in his warm arms.
