Standing Up For Family

A Father Discovers The Truth Behind His Daughter Hidden Tears

Mark walked upstairs quickly to the master bedroom closet without saying another word.

He grabbed armfuls of Sarah's expensive designer clothes off their padded hangers.

He carried them downstairs and tossed them unceremoniously into the open suit cases.

Sarah stood by watching, her cheeks burning red with intense embarrassment and fury.

She stepped closer to Mark and grabbed his arm to stop him cold.

Mark stopped and pulled his arm away from her touch with deep disgust.

Sarah: If you do this, I will sue you for everything you own!

Mark: Go ahead and try it in a court of law, Sarah.

Sarah: I will take half of your entire law firm in a divorce!

Mark: You signed a very clear prenuptial agreement before our wedding.

Sarah: That agreement will never hold up in real court!

Mark: It certainly will, especially when the judge sees these camera videos.

Sarah: You think a judge will ruin me over a minor punishment?

Mark: Child cruelty is not a minor punishment, Sarah. It is a crime.

Sarah: You are threatening to put your own wife in prison?

Mark: I am promising to protect my daughter at all costs.

Sarah gasped loudly as the harsh truth of her legal situation set in.

Under state law, evidence of child abuse meant immediate forfeiture of spousal support rights.

She would not get a single cent of Mark's substantial wealth or property.

Her greedy plans to live off his high income forever were utterly shattered.

Lily sat up on the soft couch, wiping away her lingering tears with her sleeve.

She watched her strong father stand up proudly to protect her from harm.

For the first time in years, the small girl felt safe inside her home.

Mark zipped up the packed suitcases with a sharp, loud sliding sound.

He rolled the luggage over to the open front door of the house.

He turned around to face Sarah with a cold, unyielding look in his eyes.

Mark: You have ten minutes to take your personal car and leave.

Sarah: I have nowhere else to go right now!

Mark: That is no longer my problem to worry about.

Sarah: Please, Mark, give me one more chance for our family!

Mark: My family is sitting on that couch, Sarah. You are done.
