Richard pulled out the top leather folder marked with his family crest.
He opened it on his large mahogany desk and began scanning the pages quickly.
Inside was a draft of a new prenuptial agreement and modified trust distribution.
The documents had already been stamped with fraudulent notary seals and signatures.
If signed, these papers would transfer half of the estate to Victoria immediately upon marriage.
They would also grant her total legal guardianship over Lily in any emergency.
Richard: She was trying to steal everything we own.
Lily: Why would she do something so bad to us?
Richard: Because she never cared about us, Lily.
Richard felt an overwhelming wave of guilt hit him like a heavy brick wall.
He had brought a ruthless swindler directly into his innocent daughter's life.
He picked up his desk phone and dialed his family attorney immediately.
Arthur: Hello Richard, what can I do for you this afternoon?
Richard: Arthur, I need you at my house right now with the police!
Arthur: What happened? Is everything alright with you and Lily?
Richard: Victoria just laid hands on Lily and tried to steal Clara's estate documents!
Arthur: Good Lord! Do not touch anything in that office, Richard!
Richard: I found forged legal papers with fake notary stamps inside my safe.
Arthur: I am calling the chief of police and heading over immediately!
Richard hung up the receiver and gently held Lily close to his side.
He could hear the faint sound of car tires screeching outside on the driveway.
He walked over to the grand window looking down over the main entrance path.
Victoria's red luxury sports car was parked near the front fountain area.
She had not driven away from the property after being kicked out earlier.
Instead, she was talking angrily on her cell phone, pacing beside her car.
Richard: She thinks she can still threaten me into silence.
Lily: Is she coming back inside, Daddy?
Richard: No, sweetie, she will never step foot inside this house again.
Richard watched as two black security SUV vehicles pulled up behind her car.
The head of security, Marcus, stepped out and approached Victoria with stern determination.
Victoria began shouting hysterically, waving her arms wildly in the bright sunlight.
She pointed her finger toward the upper window where Richard was standing watching.
Marcus calmly held up his hand, blocking her path toward the mansion front door.
Richard: Her game is officially over today.
