The sudden loud noise made everyone inside the bright dressing room freeze in place.
Mark stepped into the room with his fists clenched tightly at his sides.
Claire turned around quickly while hiding the sharp metal scissors behind her lace gown.
She instantly forced a sweet smile onto her face as if nothing was wrong.
Claire: Mark darling! You scared us, you are not supposed to see me yet!
Mark: What were you doing to my daughter just now?
Claire: I was only helping her fix a small knot in her hair!
Lily: Daddy! She was cutting my hair off because she said you love me too much!
Mark looked down and saw several long locks of brown hair resting on the polished floor.
His jaw tightened as he realized the woman he trusted was a complete monster.
He stepped directly between Claire and his terrified little girl without any hesitation.
Mark: Step away from my daughter right this second!
Claire: Mark, be reasonable! She is overreacting like she always does!
Mark: Do not tell me how to handle my own child in my house!
Claire took a step back while trying to maintain her calm and sophisticated composure.
She reached out to touch his arm, but Mark pulled away with total disgust.
The maid quickly grabbed her cleaning supplies and hurried quietly out of the open room.
Mark pointed his finger toward the door while staring straight into Claire's dark eyes.
Mark: Take off that dress and leave this estate before I lose my temper completely.
Claire: You cannot treat me like this over a silly childish misunderstanding!
Mark: This is not a misunderstanding, it is the end of our relationship!
