Adrian stepped into the foyer carrying his leather briefcase and official papers.
He froze when he heard the commotion and saw the women arguing upstairs.
Brenda immediately dropped to the floor and began to cry loud tears.
She pointed down at Elena with a shaking and weak hand.
Brenda: Adrian, help me!
Brenda: She tried to harm the baby and pushed the stroller!
Brenda: I tried to stop her and she attacked me!
Adrian dropped his briefcase on the floor and rushed up the marble stairs.
His face was red with anger as he looked at the frightened maid.
Adrian: What did you do to my daughter?!
Elena: Sir, that is not what happened at all!
Brenda: She is lying to save herself from prison, Adrian!
Adrian grabbed Elena by the shoulders and shook her with great force.
Adrian: I trusted you in my house with my family!
Elena: Please listen to me, Mr. Sterling!
Elena: Brenda pushed the stroller herself to frame me!
Brenda: Why would I ever hurt my own stepdaughter?!
Adrian glared at Elena with complete anger and hurt in his dark eyes.
He believed his wife because he could not imagine such pure evil.
Elena felt helpless as the man she respected refused to hear truth.
Brenda smirked softly behind Adrian's back while holding her face in fake pain.
